Nagpur: Its girls all the way yet again. Outnumbering the boys in the class 12th results declared by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary on May 25, 2016, all the three toppers of Science, Commerce and Arts from the Nagpur city are girls.

Rashi Mahajan scored 97.85 (636/650) from M.K.H. Sancheti Public School and Junior College to top in Science stream, while Sanyukta Faye scored 94% (611/650) from Dr Ambedkar College of Science and Commerce to top in Commerce stream and Ritika Shrivastav scored 96.6% (628/650) from LAD College to top in Arts stream from Nagpur city.

Nagpur Today has tracked the telling consistency in the ranking of girls in state board examinations for the past couple of years.

While some of the toppers said that consistent hard work and right encouragement from parents and teachers helped them succeed, others said that it was not a bed of roses and that they faced many set-backs before they achieved their success.
