Nagpur: Tur-daal stock recovered during raids on hoarders by district administration will now be sold out publicly for Rs 100 per kg. Accordingly, necessary orders have been already issued by Civil and Food Supplies Minister Girish Bapat.
In compliance to ministerial orders, Tur-daal will be sold out the same rate, said District Collector Sachin Kurve.
According to him, as much as 43,000 quintal daal was seized during raids conducted at the godowns of hoarders across the district. The seizure included 800 quintals of Tur-daal.
He also said, for the time being the hearing on the seizure is under process, which is likely to be ended by Friday, and as per government decision the seized daal will be sold out with effect from Saturday.
