Gang of six goons abduct businessman, recover Rs 15 lakh as ransom with force of life threat

Nagpur: In a brazen act of terror, a gang of six criminals abducted a 42-year old businessman and demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh from him. In fact, the accused abductors recovered Rs 15 lakh as ransom from the businessman with the force of life threat. The audacious incident was reported from Pachpaoli area of the city. All the six accused have been booked and a hunt has been launched to nab them.

The gang of six accused identified as Shekhar Sahare, Ganesh Kama, Rupesh Lokhande, Rakesh, Ritesh and Rahul, in a well-planned conspiracy, waylaid the businessman Tulsi Shivram Wasnik (42), resident of Dayanand Park, Varsha Apartment, Pachpaoli, at the Flyover around 11 am on 26.2.15. The six accused took possession of two-wheeler Tulsi Wasnik was riding and forced him to sit on the vehicle. Later, the gang of six accused took the businessman to a secluded place in Barse Nagar Garden and demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh from him at knife point. The accused threatened to kill Tulsi Wasnik if their ransom demand was not met. The next day, i.e. on 27.2.15, the gang of accused abductors went to the businessman’s Ganjakhet shop and recovered Rs 15 lakh from him as ransom. However, the businessman Tulsi Shivram Wasnik gathered courage and lodged a complaint with Pachpaoli Police Station in this connection.

Pachpaoli API Ghodepatil, acting on the complaint, booked the gang of six accused abductors under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 363, 386, 506(B) of the IPC and launched a hunt to nab them. So far, no arrests have been made in this incident.
