Gang of six fraudsters dupe two brothers of Rs 87 lakh

A gang of six fraudsters including three women duped two brothers to the tune of Rs 87 lakh by grabbing their landed property with the help of forged documents. The accused, after usurping the land, later sold it without the knowledge of the two brothers. All the accused have been booked.

The accused Dashrath Premchandra Paunikar, Madan Premchandra Paunikar, Meera Hiralal Kulthe, Rekha Laxman Vimalkar, Sarla Santosh Meher and Tiwaskar Talathi, all residents of Nagpur, connived with each other and hatched a conspiracy to grab land of Raju Harichandra Devgade (63) and his brother, both residents of Waghdhara Gumgaon. The accused prepared bogus documents of the land between 1999 and 2008 as if the land belonged to them and sold it for Rs 87 lakh without knowledge of the two brothers.

Hingna PSI Dhanorkar, based on a complaint, has booked the accused under Sections 420, 468, 471, 120(B), 34 of the IPC and launched investigations into the matter.
