Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated with religious fervor by Advocate Dewanis

Lord Ganesha is particularly worshipped by traders and merchants. Ganesha is the principal deity associated with traders. Lord Ganesha is considered the God of wisdom and remover of obstacles. Lord Ganesha is worshiped before worshiping any other god.

One of the reputed Advocate Shyam Dewani of the city too worshipped Lord Ganesha with deepest reverence. The family organized a ‘Mahaprasad’ on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The family has been observing this tradition for the last five years. Every member of the family looks forward to this day as one of the most important days of the year.

The hosts, Shyam Dewani and Rajeshree Dewani accorded a very warm welcome to the guests and ‘Ganpati Bappa’ devotees from across the city.

The elders came and blessed the family members, while the youngsters enjoyed serving the Prasad and enjoying the fellowship of other family members who gather only during such occasions.

The young son Sahil Dewani invited his friends and had a gala time. He added that every year they have a variety of guests which include lawyers, doctors and other friends of my parents! I make sure all my friends come and be a part of the celebrations.
