Belly Dancer- DikshaTripathi

Nagpur News: Senior students of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management threw a fresher’s party named “Aaruni- the rise of God”  yesterday on campus.  The event was well organized, complete with dance performances, a skit and three separate fashion shows. The hard work of the seniors was starkly evident in the smooth functioning of the evening’s events. Some amazing performances by First Year students added tot he fun quotient. Renditions of immensely popular songs like “Numb” by Linking Park and “Bulla Ki Jaana” by Rabbi Shergill proved that engineers can be crooners too.

Amazing group and solo performances were staged. Diksha Tripathi’s belly grooves on “Maiyya Maiyya” added to the oomph factor. The group dance to “Naka Muka” was great fun to watch, and the dance drama drew the loudest cheers from the crowd.  The band belted popular numbers and ensured the groove factor.

The first fashion show had theme songs like “Mai Sharabi” from Cocktail, “You belong with me” by Taylor Swift and “Sadda Haq” from the film Rockstar. The other two fashion shows were choreographed on Denim and Street based themes. The video of the making of the programme, replete with various gags, had everyone in splits and was further proof that a lot of hard work did go into the event.
