Nagpur: A man was booked by the Wadi police for duping six persons collectively of Rs 15.45 lakh in plot deal, police officials said. The accused was identified as Shashikant Barsuji Meshram (37), a resident of Plot No. 101, Gopal Vihar, Khadgaon Road.
According to police, Meshram had shown bogus land registries to the victims to gain their confidence. He accepted money in lakhs from the victims to proceed the sale-deed. Suresh Mandalekar (40), a resident of Indira Nagar Tekdi, was duped of Rs 2.60 lakh;
Paramjeet Singh Gaur alias Dilprit Balweer Singh Dhariwar of Rs 3.80 lakh, Babita Sangharsh Koche of Rs 2.60 lakh, Javed Sheikh of Rs 1.45 lakh, Ravindra Wasnik of Rs 1.90 lakh and Himanshu of Rs 3.10 lakh, police said.
A case under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465 and 468 of IPC was registered by Wadi police
