Nagpur: In a bizarre incident, a group of four miscreants attacked a man with swords and attempted to kill him for his “good act” in Kapil Nagar police area here on Friday night. No arrests have been made in this connection so far.

A resident of Plot No. 179/144, near Shiv Mandir, Kadu Layout, MHADA Colony, Vishal Desraj Rajput (27), saw keys of a Splendour motorcycle lying on ground. Vishal lifted the keys and handed over to accused Deepsingh alias Dilipsingh Gill (30), resident of Nari Road, near Yuvraj Kirana Stores.

However, suprisingly, the “good act” of Vishal did not go down well with Deepsingh. The enraged accused along with his three unidentified accomplices picked up quarrel with Vishal and attacked him with sword-like sharp weapons and inclicted deep wounds on his head with the intention of killing him. The four accused also thrashed Indrapal Rajput with sticks and injured him.

Kapil Nagar API Naitam, based on a complaint lodged by Vishal Rajput, booked the accused Deepsingh Gill and three others under Sections 307, 324, 504, 34 of the IPC. No arrests have been made in the case so far.
