Four goons, demanding money from trader & threatening to kill him, held by Jaripatka cops

Four criminals, who demanded money from a trader at the point of a sword and threatened to kill him if their demand was not met, were arrested by Lakadganj police on Tuesday.

The accused have been identified as Kunal Jagdish Lakhan (25), and Sunny Umesh Karosiya (25), both residing behind Harihar Mandir; Ankush Pinto Bagde (25) and Ishant Kailas Gupta (25), both residents of Itwari.

Police said, the accused forcibly entered a shop Bilal Timber Mart, owned by Bilal Yayaha Parekh, on Danaganj Barni Karkhana Road and threatened him with a sword. They first snatched Rs 500 cash from him and went away. However, the accused came back after some time and again demanded cash from Bilal and this time threatened to kill him. Bilal somehow managed to escape the spot, then reached Lakadganj police station, and lodged a complaint against the four goons.

Acting on on the complaint, police arrested the four accused and slapped charges of robbing and doling out life threat under Sections 386 and 34 of the IPC.
