NAGPUR NEWS TODAY : Cops attached to the Local Crime Branch of Nagpur Rural Police busted a prostitution racket at Ashiyana Bar & Restaurant located in Khaperkheda on Tuesday. 4 were arrested including a girl. The Bar Manager identified as Rajesh Kumar Singh was providing commercial sex workers to customers, police claimed. Others involved were Baba, alias Mamaji Saraf , 55, of Nagpur, pimp Rauf Khan Ramjan Khan, 38, of Mahal, Nagpur and a 28 year old sex worker. Police Sub-Inspectors Amol Daund and Prashant Bharte went to the bar posing as customers. they contacted Rauf on his cellphone and asked for a girl. Rauf didn’t respond for 5 days. On Tuesday Rauf asked Daund to meet at Dahegaon by-pass for the deal. At 4 p.m, the waiter Baba reached there on a motorcycle and fixed a deal for Rs. 10,000 for providing a girl at Ashiyana Bar & Restaurant. Playing along, Daund and Bharte gave Baba Rs. 5000 as advance. After sometime Rauf came with the girl on a motorcycle. Baba then took Daund and the girl to the Bar. Rauf then took the balance amount of Rs. 5000 from Bharte. After Daund and Bharte confirmed that flesh trade was at its peak in Ashiyana Bar & Restaurant they signalled the LCB team to move in.
Bar Manager Rajesh Singh was arrested after he allotted a room to Daund and the girl. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA).
