Four arrested for roadside loot in Chitar Oli, Sakkardara

Four thieves involved in waylaying were arrested in separate incidents under the jurisdiction of Kotwali and Sakkardara police stations on Friday.

As per information, the complainant Sudhakar Wamanrao Borkar (53), a resident of Adarsh Winkar Colony, Balabhaupeth, parked his Hero Jet bicycle near Chitar Oli Traffic Police booth and was speaking over cell-phone at around 7.10 pm on Friday when the accused Badal Gangaram Kamble (43) and Raju Laxman Ragde (45), both residents of Thakkargram, Pachpaoli approached Sudhakar. The accused forcefully tried to snatch away his bicycle and threatened him on knife-point but Sudhakar put up a fight with the thieves. Soon, the patrolling party and commuters noticed the tiff and reached the spot and grabbed the thieves.

Kotwali police reached the spot and arrested the accused. Cops registered an offence under Sections 393 and 34 of the IPC.

Two other thieves were arrested by Sakkardara police when the miscreants tried to snatch away a mobile phone from a youth riding on his bicycle. As per information, Deva Parasram Kamble was riding on his bicycle when two youths Narendra Ramgilari Rahangdale (24) and Vishwas Ashok Kumre (26) came on the motorcycle (MH 31 DW 4102) from rear and tried to snatch away his Nokia mobile phone. Deva put up a fight and shouted for help.

On the complaint of Deva, Sakkardara police registered an offence under Sections 393 of the IPC and arrested Narendra, a resident near Chandan Nagar nullah and Vishwas, a resident of Rambaug
