Five goons with weapons with an intention to commit crime held

Nagpur: The city police has lately intensified the patrolling and checking of suspicious people and vehicles on the road during the night hours. With the Commissioner of Police S P Yadav tightening the reigns, the police officials are practically on their toes. The night rounds have yielded its due results too.

During the patrolling, the night-round squad attached with Nandanvan Police Station, API Prashant Chimanrao Bharte along with his staff noticed a Maruti Zen car bearing RTO Registration No MH-31/H-9594 moving in a suspicious manner.

Displaying great caution, the cops suddenly stopped the car and investigated the people sitting in the car. When the accused saw the cops, these accused attempted to flee from the spot. But the cops have arrested all the five accused.


  1. Irfan Bashir Sheikh aged 32 years
  2. Amit Prakash Bagde aged 23 years
  3. Kapil Roshan Khobragade aged 19 years
  4. Kunal Ajay Bodh aged 19 years and
  5. Irshad Sheikh Aslam aged 24 years.


On checking the car, the cops found the following

  1. Swords 3 Nos
  2. Nylon rope
  3. Chilly Powder packet 1 No
  4. Screw driver 1 No.

Sources claim that these accused had come with an aim to commit burglary somewhere in the city. However, the vigilance of the cops foiled the plan. The Nandanvan Police has arrested all the five goons and has initiated an investigation after registering a case under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
