Sandeep Bele, 22, first year student of S B Jain college of Engineering, committed suicide by hanging himself at his Zingabai Takli residence on Saturday afternoon. Police told that he took the extreme step over failure in two subjects.
His parents told police that he was under depression from past few weeks and thus might have taken the extreme step.
Gittikhadan police has searched Bele’s room but no suicide note was found. Police has registered a case of an accidental death.
He took the step in the noon when his mother Malu and two elder sisters had been to nearby bank. The trio returned home around 1 pm when they found that Bele is not opening the door nor he was responding to their calls.
Later, his mother broke the window panes of the door and peeped through it to find Bele hanging to the ceiling hook. Immediately, neighbours were called to bring down Bele and rushed him to nearby private hospital. However, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
