First priority is to put crisis-ridden RTMNU in proper order, says Acting VC Anoop Kumar

The Divisional Commissioner on Monday took the charge of  Acting Vice Chancellor of Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University from Dr. Vilas Sapkal  who resigned from his post on Sunday.

Nagpur News: “My first and foremost priority will be to put crisis-ridden RTMNU in proper order with positive mindframe and honest efforts so that the old glory of this great institution could be achieved,” asserted  the Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar on Monday (March 31) while taking the charge of  Vice Chancellor of Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University from Dr. Vilas Sapkal  who resigned from his post on Sunday (March 30). Anoop Kumar will carry out his duty as Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.

Earlier, Dr. Sapkal welcomed and introduced the Acting VC to the administrative officers and other staff of the University with whom Anoop Kumar will be working.

The Acting Vice Chancellor Anoop Kumar has done Post-Graduation in Political Science from Allahabad University and PG Diploma in Social Work, UK. He has done Masters in Public Administration , USA.

While introducing himself and addressing the media, Anoop Kumar said, “The standards that I have seen during my study in different universities are still in my mind and I aspire to do something positive for RTMNU. It is a great responsibility to pinpoint and put an end to the crisis and deterioration prevailing in RTMNU in the present situation. I will study and handle the bogging issues one by one and try to resolve them amicably. I don’t picture it is as that difficult. Candid talk and and discussion will play an important role in hammering out all problems,” the Acting VC said.

Expressing concern over the growing negative image of the University in the minds of the students and parents as well, Kumar said he will honestly make efforts to remove the negativity culture existing in the university and bring positivity . His priority will be passing of the Budget tomorrow in the Senate meeting. He further added that he has given a commitment to the Chancellor that he will give sufficient time to the university along with his duty as a Divisional Commissioner.

The most important Senate meeting will be held tomorrow.
