The reassessment fire, it appears, has spread to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education ( MSBTE), too, after creating havoc in RTMNU. The Final Year Polytechnic students on Wedneday gheraoed the office of Deputy Secretary (MSBTE) situated in Government Polytechnic Campus, Sadar, Nagpur. According to reports, about 53 students out of 60 belonging to Late Vasantdada Patil Polytechnic and some other polytechnic colleges were unsuccessful in their IFB paper. The agitating students wondered how can an entire class barring a few students fail in a particular subject. The students led by Congress Youth Wing gathered at the Deputy Secretary’s office and demanded reassessment of their paper within 15 days.
When Nagpur Today contacted R V Yenkar, Deputy Secretary, MSBTE to ascertain the issue, he said that there is a procedure and guideline for reassessment process, the circular for which has already been issued.
