Nagpur: Motorists traveling between Mumbai, Nashik, and Nagpur can expect a smoother journey soon, as the final 76-km stretch of the Samruddhi Mahamarg is nearing completion .
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has confirmed that this section, connecting Igatpuri in Nashik to Amane in Thane, is expected to be ready by August and open to traffic in September 2024.
An MSRDC official stated that work on this stretch is progressing quickly and should be completed by August.
Once finished, the Samruddhi Mahamarg will be a 701-km long access-controlled expressway, amongst the country’s longest greenfield road projects, connecting Mumbai and Nagpur.
