Film artists lend supporting hand to suicide-affected families

Nagpur: Renowned film artists Nana Patekar and Makrand Anaspure (Marathi film actor) have extended their hands of support to the suicide-affected families of farmers of Vidarbha. Coming forward through Janmanch, an NGO dealing with people’s causes, both the film actors met as many as 61 suicide-affected families of farmers and handed them cheques in the form of financial support.

It is worth mentioning here that thousands of farmers have committed suicide in Vidarbh and Marathwada regions. Their pathos as well as trials and tribulations need social sympathy and also awareness.

Both the artists, seeing the conditions of suicide-affected families, were so emotionally moved that they could not hold their tears from rolling down their eyes. Both of them have promised that they would help the farmers all along their life, and will also influence others to do so.
