Fake doc booked for causing death to patient

A doctor allegedly treated a youth without having proper certificates to treat that particular problem, leading to the death of patient on August 8. Later Kalamna police have booked the doctor.

Sources said Yogesh Ramsingh Thakur (22), a resident of Ambe Society, Kalamna, fell severely ill on August 8 after which he was rushed to Dr Anil Surajlal Jagne (38) in Navin Nagar, Kalamna. However, Yogesh’s health started deteriorating during the treatment and he died. Yogesh’ family members lodged a complaint with Kalamna police against Dr Jagne.

During preliminary investigations it was revealed that Dr Jagne was not qualified for the required medical treatment. Thus, cops have booked Dr Jagne under Sections 304 (a) of the IPC read with sub sections 33 (a) of The Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act.
