Nagpur: A fake agent of Amazon conned an aged man by pilfering Rs 85,900 from his bank account on the pretext of delivering the ordered item. Ambazari cops have launched a search of the accused.

A resident of Plot No. 120A, Ramnagar, Dinesh Vasant Ratnaparkhi (61) received a phone call from an unidentified person around 7.30 am on July 11, 2019. The caller posed as Amazon agent and sought details of Dinesh’s bank account. Later, the conman through VPI transferred Rs 85,900 from Dinesh’s bank account and cheated him.
