Among three suicides reported in the city on Wednesday, an eleventh standard student of Kevalramani College, Diksha Sonkuwar hanged herself after she failed to clear only one subject of her eleventh class.

Her body was found hanging to the ceiling hook at her Ramai Nagar residence on Wednesday evening. “Her parents told that she was a hardworking student and had undergone depression after she failed in only one subject by few marks”, informed Jaripatka police. No suicide note was found by police.

Her parents and brother, all daily wagers, had gone for their duties when Sonkuwar took the extreme step while alone at home.

Another two suicides took place at Tehsil and Hudkeshwar police station areas. A 30-year-old railway employee, who had got a job just one-and- half month ago, committed suicide by hanging himself. Bhnakheda resident Akhilesh Khobragade’s hanging body was found on the terrace of his house on Thursday morning. Police said that an unmarried Khobragade was recently employed as a fourth class employee in central railway. No suicide note was found by police. Cops suspect some personal problem behind the suicide.

At Hudkeshwar, Lakhanlal Thakre, 45, jumped into well near his residence at Shivangi Nagar on Wednesday midnight. Police has registered a case of an accidental death.
