Prepping up for the upcoming assembly polls, the state cabinet is all set to go in for major reshuffle which could probably see assigning jobs of Guardian Ministers to the key leaders. Sources said State Minister for Finance and Planning Rajendra Mulak is likely be appointed as the Guardian Minister of Nagpur along with few other leaders getting Guardian Ministers’ job for other districts of Vidarbha.

Reliable sources said the decision to this effect would come anytime soon.

Information revealed that Nitin Raut could be made Guardian Minister of Bhandara while Shivajirao Moghe who is presently serving as Nagpur district Guardian Minister could be shifted to Yavatmal and Ranjit Kamble would be made Wardha Guardian Minister.

When Nagpur Today contacted Rajendra Mulak, he refused to comment over the query saying that he would be in a position to say anything once official word comes to the fore. “As far, nothing has been confirmed yet. Let the announcement come in this regard,” he said.

With strong political credentials, Mulak stands fair chance of being fielded from West Nagpur Assembly Constituency. Mulak has played a pivotal role in upliftment of backward class Youth.

Sources said the move aimed at upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. This change of guard may probably work towards the Congress party regaining their position or continuing their rule in the State.

Many high-ranking bureaucrats may also get reshuffled soon. The indecisiveness which had played a crucial role in the state administration resulting in many pending projects will get sorted out soon.

Recently Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had promised that he would make changes in the bureaucracy and fill up the vacant posts.
