Ex-Shatayu College accountant’s PCR extended by 3-days in fraud case

Nagpur: The PCR of Gulshan Verma, 31, a former accountant at Shatayu College of Professional Studies, was extended by three days on Friday.
Verma stands accused of siphoning off admission fees totaling Rs 13 lakh from college students. Rana Pratap Nagar police had filed charges against Gulshan Verma for allegedly diverting admission fees into his personal account.

Verma, a resident of Gurudatta Housing Society, Narendra Nagar, had been employed at the institution for eight years.

Police reports indicate that Verma created a UPI ID to reroute the admission fees intended for the college into his personal bank account.
Consequently, a case has been registered against him under Sections 408, 420, and 465 of the Indian Penal Code by the Rana Pratap Nagar police.
