Ex-Corporator Nana Shende dies of cardiac arrest while travelling to Nagpur in Duronto Express

In a sad incident, Indora Ward’s Former Corporator Nana Haribhau Shende, who was also a veteran journalist and activist of Dr Ambedkar Movement, Former Director of Dr Ambedkar Bank, died of Cardiac arrest while travelling from Mumbai to Nagpur in Duranto Express early in the Wednesday (June 29, 2016) morning at Ajni Station. He was 67.

Immediately on arrival, he was deboarded from the train and rushed to Government Railway Hospital. The attending doctors at Government Railway Hospital declared him brought dead. The authorities then took his dead body to Indira Gandhi Government College and Hospital for post-mortem.

Sources claimed that he was a veteran journalist too and used to take out a weekly newspaper named Nagdarpan.

MLA Dr. Milind Mane reached IGGMCH to console the relatives.

Sources said that he had gone to meet his daughter who lives in Mumbai. He leaves behind his wife, four daughters to mourn his loss.
