Nagpur: An evil-minded youth raped a 5-year old girl on Gokul Ashtami day itself sending shockwave in city and drawing angry reactions from citizens. Cops are searching the pervert youth who has reportedly gone absconding.
According to police, the complainant along with her 5-year old daughter had gone to her assumed brother’s residence for Gokul Ashtami celebration in Lakadganj area around 7.30 pm on Sunday. The eccentric accused Rahul Ramesh Raut, who is tenant of the brother, had also come there for collecting “Prasad.” At an opportune time, the accused Rahul Raut took the 5-year old girl to the terrace of the residence on some pretext and raped the girl. The shameful act of the accused came to notice of the girl’s mother when the shell-shocked kid narrated the incident to her. Taken aback by the outrageous act, the girl’s mother immediately lodged a complaint with Lakadganj police.
PSI Analdas, acting on the complaint, registered an offence against the accused Rahul Ramesh Raut under Sections 376, 511, 354(A)(1) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 7, 8, of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and hunting him who has reportedly gone absconding.
The dark incident sent shockwaves in the area and drew angry reactions from citizens. The enraged citizens have demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
