Nagpur: An employee of a pipe manufacturing unit was on Saturday relieved of Rs 1.50 lakh recovered from traders. The cash was stolen from the dicky of his Activa scooter in Itwari area of city.
The complainant Narendra Ganeshrao Dhawle (38), resident of Ajni, works as recovery representative in Vansh Industries, Butibori MIDC. On Saturday (March 21), between 5.45 pm and 7 pm, Narendra Dhawle recovered company’s Rs 1,50,300 from a Queta Colony-based trader towards supply of pipes. Narendra kept the cash in the dicky of his Activa scooter (MH-31/Q 9343) and went to Shaha Stationery located on New Itwari Road for purchasing files. He parked the Activa in front of the shop and went inside. Meanwhile, some unidentified burglars opened the dicky of Activa and decamped with the cash of Rs 1.50 lakh.
Tehsil Senior PSI Gaekwad, acting on a complaint of Narendra Dhawle, registered an offence against the unidentified thieves under Section 379 of IPC and searching for them.
