Election Results: TMC in WB, LDF in Kerala, AIADMK in TN, DMK+ Puducherry, BJP in Assam
New Delhi/Nagpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has scripted history and is set to form government for the first time in Assam routing the Congress while Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress is returning back to power with an even bigger mandate than it managed in the 2011 elections.
Tamil Nadu is also set to give a historic verdict with J Jayalalithaa-powered AIADMK retaining power defying most of the exit polls.
Kerala has continued to alternate between the rival alliances with the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the driver’s seat and the United Democratic Front (UDF) staring at five years out of power.
