Nagpur: Charming and one of the popular actors Akshay Anand was in the town to promote the upcoming opulent period drama ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’ today. The show is going to hit the television screens on July 27, 2015.
These days, wherein the television serials that are based on youngster’s love stories and family dramas are not rare, Zee TV intends to maintain its rejuvenating perspective and introduce some show peculiar each time a new venture is planned.

Hence, focusing over creating a new concept for the viewers, yet again, Zee TV comes up with a new and unique venture ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’.
Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is basically a classic saga of love, set in the 1940’s. With its polo matches, imperial balls, lifestyles of rich, royal and a stellar cast, the show is touted as Indian television’s biggest magnum opus of the year. The story will revolve around the classic romance set in the pre-independence era, deeply embedded secrets of Indian royalty and politics. The viewers would find the secret British relations with the Royal family members interesting.
Actor Akshay Anand, after working for silver screen is back on television screen and will be seen in the tragic drama as Chandravardan with the touch of Royalty who never wears modern attire but secretly fancies foreign way of life and gets it fulfilled through his British associates. He will be seen playing the role who treacherously wants to acquire the King’s thrown. The actor claimed that he is really excited to be back on television, especially with a show that breaks the clutter.
Joining Akshay Anand, will be the elegant Dhrashti Dhami and tele-hunk Siddhant Karnik. Drashti Dhami after winning Jhalak’s Trophy is back on television with Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. She will play the leading lady in the drama essaying a simple girl named Gayatri, a 21 year old daughter of the state’s wealthiest money- lender, who is totally different from the girls of her generation. Drashti Dhami is confident about the show and believes that without her having to explain, everyone is eagerly waiting to watch this show. She added, “Hm…we guess the show is totally gonna amaze the viewers watching the Television. On the other hand we have Siddhnat all set to charm, who has previous acted in shows like ‘Ye hai aashique’ and ‘Gustak Dil’ who will be seen playing the male lead Rana Indravan Singh Deo, the intense and brooding prince of the royal family of Amerkot.”
The actors have performed various Kirdars, but this new drama seems to be a bit different and challenging. It seems Zee Tv and the actors are focused on creating a history on the Indian Television with this new venture. This royal story is already anticipated to take the viewer back to the ancient times when the Kings and royal families used to rule the towns and had all the advantages and facilities that ordinary people were deprived of.
Initially, parts of the serial were shot in the beautiful city Bikaner in Rajasthan and Amarpur in the state of Bihar. However, the shooting will now be carried out on the new set which had almost completed its construction. The all new set is amongst the first water-proof sets in Mumbai and will soon be ready for the shootings.
