Nagpur: An e-rickshaw driver has been arrested by Ganeshpeth police for stealing a man’s bag containing Rs 96,000 cash on Friday, April 13.
The complainant, Jagdishchandra Chohitram Tolani (71), native of Kalabazar Lashkar, District Khalibar (MP) had come to Nagpur and hired an e-rickshaw for going to East Gate of Nagpur Railway Station around 3.30 pm on Friday. However, the accused e-rickshaw driver Balkrishna Bajirao Nandanwar (55), resident of Plot No. 27, Ganeshnagar, Dabha, diverted attention of Jagdishchandra and slyly drove away with the bag containing Rs 96,000 cash. Jagdishchandra lodged a complaint with Ganeshpeth police in this connection.
After registering a case under Section 379 of the IPC, police constable Manoj Yadav searched the accused e-rickshaw driver Balkrishna Nandanwar and nabbed him on Saturday.
