Nagpur:Tired of the din and dust of Nagpur with so much construction activity going on everywhere; but do not have time to go on a long break? Then take a short one! Even if you have only one day at your disposal, you can head to Dwaraka Water Park which has superb amenities and something to do for the whole family.

A short 34 Kms (approx.) from Nagpur, much of the road is the superbly smooth Nagpur – Saoner national highway. Even after you turn off this road, its an interesting country road that takes you past the famous ‘Meetha Neem’ (Taajjudin baba) Darga, and then onto an exclusive lane along a canal that is built by the owner of ‘Dwaraka’ to take you to the water park.

Once there, there are lots of activities to indulge yourself and your kids with…in fact everyone gets the chance to let their hair down and become kids too. (For the elderly there are A/C tents or resort rooms that can be rented for the day at nominal cost).

The entry to the park is only Rs. 300/ per head that covers entry to everything, and also the camel rides, the toy train etc. Once inside, you don’t need to queue up again and again for different activities.

What is an exclusive feature of Dwaraka is that you can bring your home food and water which is not allowed at any park anywhere!! They will provide you space, even tables and chairs to sit and eat in comfort, as long as you don’t clutter the park.

The lucrative entry ticket and facility to carry your own food makes it an affordable ‘get away’ for everyone. But if you are so inclined, you can go and avail of the tasty refreshments served at their restaurants too.

The park is spread over a luxurious area of 56 acres lying along the Kanhan river. The water park occupies 36.5 acres of the land and rest is also open for anyone who just wants to trek around. To entice the religious minded there is an ancient Nag temple – renovated now – and also a Hanuman temple at one corner of the land. There is a nice river view from here…

There is ample parking facility for 4 wheelers and two wheelers, which is being even further expanded. (Buses are available till the Darga and one cant rent an auto from there too).

The promoter Dharmdas Ramani has many interesting plans for near future. They plan to have a permanent museum of world currency of all times in Mint condition… along with short historical descriptions.

With so much on offer, Dwaraka is already hitting the high note with Nagpurians…come join the fan list!
