Nagpur News : Traffic came to halt after an ambulance driver hit divider and climbed over it and collided with street light near hotel Raddison Blu square on wardha road on Monday evening.
Sonegaon police has arrested the accused driver Ghanshyam Shirsagar. Sources informed that police failed to call towing vans on time causing congestion on the road for two hours. Later, the vehicle was removed.
Shirsagar had brought patient from chandrapur to city care hospital on his ambulance (MH34 AB 505). On his way to home, he had alcohol near chattrapati square and offered lift to two people. After driving a distance away, an inebriated Shirsagar hit the divider. Luckily, two people travelling in ambulance escaped with minor bruises. Shirsagar,too, was left unhurt.
