Nagpur: A book entitled “Practical Manual of Botany” authored by Dr. Rajkumar Khapekar, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, Dr. S.V. Kasbekar, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology both from Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur, Dr. M.N. Bhajbhuje Associate Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru Mahavidyalaya, Wadi, Nagpur and B.M. Rajurkar, Assistant Professor, R.S. Bidkar College, Hinganghat was released at the hands of renowned cardiologist of Nagpur City Dr. Nikunj Pawar in the premises of D.R.B. Sindhu Mahavidyalaya. On this occasion Dr. I.P. Keswani General Secratary Sindhi Hindi Vidya Samiti, Dr. K.J. Cherian Principal, D.R.B. Sindhu Mahavidyalaya was prominently present.
As said by authors this book written according to semester pattern syllabus of RTM Nagpur University. This book is useful for the students of semester – I of Botany subject. The topics in this book have been explained in a lucid manner by using simple language and well illustrated diagrams. It is noted that this is the third book written by Dr. R.R. Khapekar. Previous book written by Dr. Khapekar, Dr. Bhajbhuje and Rajurkar based on botany curriculum already got overwhelming response from students. Dr. Khapekar and Dr. Bhajbhuje wrote various articles for National and International books and published many research papers in various journals of National and International repute. Dr. Khapekar is recipient of various fellowships and Awards of National and International repute.
