Dr. Harkishan Mamtani, a Nagpur-based psychiatrist, has achieved a significant milestone by being awarded the prestigious title of MRCPsych at an official ceremony held at the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London. The honor, bestowed by the President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, underscores Dr. Harkishan’s dedication and exceptional proficiency in the field of psychiatry. The attainment of the MRCPsych title entails clearing three rigorous levels of examinations, which are recognized among the most challenging assessments for International Medical Graduates in Psychiatry.
Notably, after completing his MBBS from GMC Nagpur, Dr. Harkishan went on to pursue his MD Psychiatry from the renowned NIMHANS Bengaluru, which is considered to be Asia’s apex institute for neurosciences, and an Institute of National Importance in India. He followed it up with pursuing a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychiatry at the same institute.
Currently serving as a consultant psychiatrist at Manoved in G Kumar Arogyadham, Jaripatka, Nagpur, Dr. Harkishan specializes in the comprehensive management of all psychiatric disorders, including depressive and anxiety disorders, along with addictive disorders. His holistic approach integrates both pharmacological interventions and psychotherapy, reflecting his commitment to delivering personalized and effective care to his patients.
