Nagpur: The extension building of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s (RTMNU) Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Thoughts department was inaugurated at the hands of university’s Vice-Chancellor Dr Siddharth Vinayak Kane on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kane said that it was a matter of pride for the RTMNU that such a resourceful department existed in the university to study the philosophy of Dr B R Ambedkar.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that students and researchers from across the country and also from abroad would make maximum use of the department to study the life and works of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and imbibe the knowledge to develop their own personalities.
Dr Puranchandra Meshram, the Registrar of RTMNU; Dr Pradeep Agalawe, head of department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Thoughts; Dr Ramesh Shambharkar, Dr Ashok Dongre, Dr Saroj Dange-Somkuwar, Dr Dhanraj Dahat, Dr Shankar Khobragade and other dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony.
