DPS MIHAN Hosts Interschool Competition ‘Balotsav’ – A Talent Show

Delhi Public School, MIHAN, proudly hosted BALOTSAV – a vibrant interschool talent show that brought together students from various schools across Nagpur. Held on the serene campus of DPS MIHAN, the event aimed to showcase the diverse talents of students from LKG to Grade V.

With around 120 students participating from various schools, Balotsav was a resounding success. The competition saw enthusiastic young talents demonstrating their skills across multiple categories, including dance, rhyme recitation, elocution, storytelling, indigenous art, colouring, and collage-making.

The event featured a panel of distinguished judges who evaluated the participants:
Mr. Lomesh Tandulkar for Dance, Ms. Rashmi Sathe for Elocution and Storytelling, and Ms. Vedenti Desai for Rhyme Recitation.

Each performance was a testament to the creativity and passion of the participants, and the competition provided an excellent platform for students to build confidence and express themselves artistically.

The valedictory function was graced by Ms Indira Mukherjee, an eminent and famous Story teller for almost 25 years. She has been travelling all over India and USA telling and retelling different genres of tales to ages ranges from 3 years to 80 years. She presented the awards to the winners and praised the students for their outstanding performances. The Chief Guest commended DPS MIHAN for its efforts in fostering holistic development.

Ms. Tulika Kedia, Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road and Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road, have been instrumental in fostering an environment that nurtures talent and holistic development. Nurturing young talents.


Principal, Ms. Nidhi Yadav, expressed her joy at the overwhelming participation and highlighted the importance of such events in enhancing students’ overall growth. She said, ‘Balotsav is not just a competition, but a celebration of the talents and creativity that every child holds within. We are proud to provide a platform where young minds can shine.’

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants, judges, and supporting staff, making Balotsav a memorable day of joy, talent, and learning for everyone involved.
