Kalamna police has booked two doctors for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other charges in the death of 9-year-old Harshita Borkar who had died while undergoing treatment at their A D N hospital in Kalamna.

Harshita had fallen ill after she came home from a wedding and she was rushed to A D N hospital. The deceased’s father Keshav Borkar claimed that the doctors had admitted the patient and didn’t treat her on time. He alleged that since they couldn’t pay Rs 1000 fee at the hospital, the doctors didn’t let them shift the patient to another hospital and neither gave her proper treatment. Thus, on being neglected by the doctors, the minor girl succumbed on April 15.
