Disappointed by court’s decision, two attempted to suicide

Nagpur News : Unhappy with the court’s decision, a 49-year-old man and a woman, in her fourties, attempt to commit suicide in separate incidents on Thursday.

Bharatbhushan Naidu, a resident of Khalasi Line in Mohan Nagar, was depressed as his case’s decision was pending. Police said that he was expecting for decision in his case on Thursday but got disappointed when it was delayed. A dejected Naidu attempted to set himself ablaze by pouring kerosene on him in the corridor of Suyog Building, Civil Lines. Police constables present in the court saved him on time.

Sitabuldi police has booked him for attempt to suicide.

In other incident, Mangla Narde, a resident of Juni Shukrawari, consumed high dose of pills after the court acquitted his son’s murder accused. She attempted to suicide in the district court premises, soon after the judge acquitted both the murder accused. Her son was killed in Kotwali police station area in 2012. She was rushed to Mayo hospital. No offence was registered yet.
