Directorate of Vocational Education and Training sends proposal for aid, gets assurance from minister

Nagpur: The private ITIs (Industrial Training Institute) in the State will see good days. These institutions hope to get aid from the government. Directorate of Vocational Education and Training Mumbai had prepared a proposal and after some amendments it has been sent to the government to get it sanctioned. According to the information a meeting was held among private ITI principals, employees organisations and officials of Directorate. After this a proposal was preapred and sent to government. But there were some errors in it and so the government gave indications about it and sent it back to the directorate. Soon after this the directorate prepared a list of private ITIs before year 2001, the syllabus followed by them, sections teachers and non-teaching employees. This information was included in proposal and then amendments were made in it and sent to government.

According to the representatives of the organisation Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar assured to look into it. Due to this the members of the organisation are hopeful about getting funds for the private ITIs in new year. The organisation has been giving all help to the Directorate. The organisation has given the list of 165 private ITIs before year 2001. In this there are 1800 teachers and employees working. These ITIs have more seats than government ITIs.
