Director General of Police, Dayal held a meeting of senior police officials at Police Gymkhana at 11-30 on July 2. Police commissioner, Nagpur, K K Pathak, assistant police commissioner, Sanjay Saxena, additional commissioner, Deepak Pandey, deputy commissioner, Bharat Tangde, Sunil Kolhe, Dr Shreeprakash Waghmare, Sanjay Darade, Chandrakishor Meena, Ramnath Pokle, Abhinash Kumar and State Reserve police chief, assistant commissioner and all police stations in-charge officers and senior inspectors were present at the meeting.

Dayal said the crime graph of Nagpur city is relentlessly rising and it is really a matter of concern but we will surely find right solutions for this. Police officials will be given proper directives for reducing crime rate of the city. Police will endeavour to give justice to every complainant. Though the crime scale is showing upward trend police will conduct proper investigations and make recoveries and arrests. Two new police stations will be added in Nagpur’s station list. They are Mankapur and other station will be at Bajajnagar.

All the procedure has been completed for this and as soon as proper buildings are available the new police stations will come into being. A detailed study has been made about custodial deaths. A special committee is established for this. Some such cases are sub judice and it will not be proper to comment on it.
