Digital Smartness Essential For CAs

Nagpur News : Nagpur Branch of WIRC of ICAI organized a half day Workshop on Digital Smartness for CAs at ICAI Bhavan, Dhantoli Nagpur in which CA. Julfesh Shah, Regional Council Member speaking as Chief Guest said that digital smartness in this era of technological advancement of systems, data, networks, security controls, analytics has become an integral part of our profession. Professionals can enhance digital smartness by actually knowing, analyzing & interpreting the various digital products & systems & adding layers of value & innovations. Both, Human intelligence & digital smartness, working together in complementary fashion, will lead to optimization of level of Service he added. He further said that such type of workshops will provide good input to the Chartered Accountants for developing there Technological Knowledge. He informed the members about updates in WIRC & ICAI New Delhi.

Earlier the Vice Chairman of the branch CA. Ashwini Agrawal in his welcome address said that in recent past the taxation & audit fields has moved from manual system to a digital base world. This technological change has opened new venues & avenues for performing our services. He further said that working digitally is a reflection of how we use digital technology as a way of moving from traditional to transformational way catering to our client in effective & efficient manner. He informed the members about various forth coming events & projects taken up by the Nagpur Branch. He appealed to the members to participate in large numbers and keep themselves up to date.

CA. Pankaj Deshapnde, renowned faculty from city said that a professional’s ability to succeed and digital smartness depends to large extent on his technological skills. Good software skills can go a long way to assist in speedier execution of work and to build confidence for effective completion of assignment. It is equipped with infinite features to unfold, and it also offers flexibility to evaluate data in various ways. Considering this a practical workshop wherein only specific functions of digital smartness would be practiced
