Dharmapeth Science college lecturer knocked dead

Dharampeth Science college professor Matoramji Meshram,42, was killed a road accident near Mata Kacheri Square under the jurisdiction of Dhantoli police station on Friday morning.
Accused driver is a 21-year-old youth who knocked down his four-wheeler on Meshram’s bike causing Meshram’s death on the spot.

Meshram, a resident of Taya Tope Nagar, was driving his 15-year-old son Ankit to his tuition classes when he met with the accident. Meshram was a lecturer at Dharampeth Science College.

The incident took place around 8.35 am. Meshram was driving this bike while Ankit was riding pillion when accused driver Jitendra Devgirkar, a resident of Baji Prabhu Nagar, collided head on with their bike.

Meshram had suffered serious injuries and was rushed to nearby private hospital at Orange City Square but was declared dead by doctors. Ankit suffered minor injuries.

On Ankit’s complaint, police has booked Devgirkar for rash driving causing a person’s death. Police told that Devgirkar works as a driver with a private company.
