The city space has caught up with festive colors once again as Lord Ganesha makes way to the households, public pandals and private establishments for good ten days. The families and folks have painted the city red, bringing along cheers and enthusiasm in Nagpur. All the famous pandals have geared up to showcase different theme based exhibitions this time.

Itwari, Dhantoli and Ramdaspeth are few of the places that have been garnering huge adulation for its wonderful exhibits for the years. And this time is no different.

Celebration has already begin at homes, in communities and various Ganesh Utsav mandals bringing in the artistically created idols of Vighnaharata – the name synonymous to Lord Ganesha. Some sarvajanik Ganeshotsav mandals will even champion a cause during the ten-day festivities through the elephant-headed God.

Devotees take time out from their busy schedules to prepare to welcome their protector from evils and uproot obstacles in their lives. The grandeur of pandals will be worth watching after the installation of Ganesh idols in them.

Areas like Chitar Oli and Gandhibag, where Ganesh idols are made on large-scale, were jampacked with devotees since Thursday evening, who were lined up for taking the Lord home.
