Development of WCL and Coal Industry is utmost priority : Rajiv R. Mishra

Dated May 11, 2015 SAMWAD-20 groups of Western Coalfields Limited organized a presentation before the Chairman cum Managing Director of Western Coalfields Limited, Rajiv Ranjan Mishra today at WCL headquarters, Sanskrutik Bhawan. While addressing on the occasion Mishra said that development of WCL and Coal Industry is our utmost priority. He congratulated all Samwad groups and said that during last one month all groups have achieved success in identifying and resolving various issues at their own level. All subsidiary companies of Coal India Limited are to be taken forward with brotherhood, he said. He emphasized on optimum utilization of resources and innovative technology with special emphasis on increasing coal production. This is to be noted that WCL is committed to produce 60 MTY coal by 2019-20 and to open ten new projects during 2015-16. Mishra Vekoli many positive changes have come after assuming office.

About a month ago in April 20915, SAMWAD-20 groups were formed in all ten areas including headquarters of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) to introduce positive changes in day to day professional and personal life of WCL personnel. The groups includes members from staff, young and senior officers, so that the issues of all the levels down to top may be communicated and resolved at their own level. During last one month the SAMWAD-20 groups are working in such a fashion in entire WCL that are able to resolve various issues related to water supply, electricity, residential facility, medical facility etc and the groups also suggested the ideas to increase coal production. These groups are empowered to identify and resolve issues at their own level. Today a presentation by all Samwad groups was given and they shared the developments done in their respective areas. This model of WCL is soon to be adapted in all other subsidiaries of Coal India Limited to introduce positive change. All HoDs, senior oficers, workers were prominently present during the prograamme.
