Development of North Nagpur, where I was born, will be my topmost priority: Dr Raut

“The sacred soil of North Nagpur is well adept of my mind and heart because I was born here and I will not leave a stone unturned for development of this constituency. It will be my foremost priority,” said Dr Nitin Raut while addressing a public meeting in Teka Naka Nayi Basti on Thursday.

Highlighting his development works and facilities in this Muslim dominated area, Dr Nitin Raut said that North Nagpur could development because of cooperation and love of people bestowed upon him. Their support and blessings are his strength, asserted Raut, the Congress candidate contesting the Assembly election from North Nagpur.

At the outset, senior Congress leader Vilas Muttemwar addressed the meeting. He said, “Don’t run behind leaders who promised ‘Acche Din.’ Instead, rally behind Nitin Raut who has already brought ‘Acche Din’ and developed North Nagpur. People should vote for person like Dr Nitin Raut,” said Muttemwar. Former City Congress President Sheikh Hussain also addressed the meeting and appealed the people to stand behind secular parties.

The meeting was attended by Abdulla Khan, Hamid Ansari, Abdul Hamid Leader, Sabir Nurani, Altaf Qureshi, Asif Sheikh, Salim Khan, Asad Khan, Alim Bafati, Salim Mastana, Funu Seth, Imran Khan, Ravindra Rana, Pavitra Wasnik, Niyaz Ali, Arbaaz Khan, Mulchand Meher, Adv Suryakant Jaiswal, Deepak Khobragade, office-bearers of Mahila Congress, Yuvak Congress, NSUI, and hundreds of citizens.
