A delegation of NMC’s Aiwajdar workers, led by Jammu Anand, on Friday met Mayor Pravin Datke in the context of a newspaper report that said the NMC has not deposited Aiwajdar workers’ share of contribution in their Provident Fund accounts since the past 17 months. Clarifying the NMC stand, the Chief Accounts and Finance Officer Madan Gadge told the delegation that the Health Department was supposed to deposit the share of PF contribution of Aiwajdar workers from 2013 after receiving the password. In February, 2015, 12 percent amount of workers and 12 percent of amount NMC and other charges totaling 25.61 percent have been deposited in PF accounts. Due to some technical snag, the delay occurred, admitted Madan Gadge.
