Nagpur Today Bollywood News: Deepika Padukone will be back in RACE 2, being her first dabble in an out-and-out action thriller, Deepika Padukone couldn’t be more excited, especially since the actress this time around, has decided to shoot for the hi-octane stunts minus a stunt double, including a thrilling car chase sequence which is a highlight in the film.
Talking about her first action film says Deepika Padukone, ”Abbasji-Mustanji (directors) have mastered this genre. I was a bit nervous during the first couple of days since this is the first time I’ve attempted an action thriller, but they gave me a lot of confidence and made me feel comfortable.”
Talking about Deepika’s grey shaded character, says director Abbas, ”Despite her romantic heroine image, she had no qualms about playing a character that had grey shades. We were keen on casting her as the role required someone really glamorous and sexy and yet look convincing while pulling off stunts. Just like her character; she is equally fearless in real life and looks very convincing on screen. She was even comfortable handling guns, which I haven’t seen in many actors. She’ll easily be one of the hottest action babes in Bollywood.”
All praise for the actress says producer Ramesh Taurani, ”Deepika’s character in the film is something to watch out for.She’s a femme fatale performing stunts and jumps that most actresses would back out of. We are very impressed with her dedication.”
