    Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh’s Padmavati in trouble again, set vandalised in Kolhapur

    Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Padmavati is definitely in a lot of trouble. It was just two months back when the sets of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was set ablaze in Rajasthan, and now the movie unit faced the same problem in Kolhapur.

    A huge set was erected in the Panhala district of Kolhapur and the same was vandalised last night by a fringe group. According to reports, the local goons attacked the set and burnt it to ground at 10 pm last night, when the shooting was almost over. The fire brigade could not reach on time after which the villagers came to the rescue. However, all the shooting equipment and the entire set up was damaged in this incident.     It all started two months back when the sets of Padmavati was vandalised in Jaipur by members of Rajput Karni Sena. They had issues with the wrong depiction of Rani Padmavati in the movie. There were rumours that there will be sensual dream sequence between Ranveer and Deeepika’s character that angered the Rajput community. They attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and assaulted him. The video of the attack taking place went viral, and the industry rose in solidarity in support of the filmmaker. In fact, even Sushant Singh Rajput dropped Rajput from his name, as a form of protest.
