Nagpur: A group of relatives and their accomplices of a deceased patient on Sunday night went on rampage at Ramnagar-based Dande Hospital and abused and manhandled Dr Dande when he referred the patient to GMC. The accused also smashed glass doors and other property of the hospital.
The trouble started when three unidentified persons brought 26-year old Dhananjay Anil Kohale of Pandharabodi Slums to Dande Hospital for treatment. However, Dhananjay died during the course of treatment. Upon his death, the CMO of Dande Hospital referred the deceased patient to GMC for post-mortem purpose. This referring outraged the accompanying accused relatives and other persons who started creating ruckus at the hospital. They abused and manhandled Dr Dande and other staff. The glass doors and other property was damaged by the accused.
Based on a complaint lodged by Vipin Chunnilal Katre (34) of Hilltop Road, Ramnagar, Ambazari WPSI Jhamre has booked the accused under Sections 143, 147, 149, 294 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
