Aurangabad: A Deputy Commissioner of Police in Aurangabad has been booked on the allegation of raping a 22 year old woman. MIDC CIDCO police in Aurangabad has registered rape case against the accused DCP Rahul Shrirame on Tuesday night after the woman lodged complaint against him.

It is learnt that the survivor had lodged the complaint through Whatsapp mobile messaging application.

Sources said that Zone-II DCP Rahul Shirrame had allegedly called this woman on the pretext of guiding her for competitive exam and then forced himself upon her.

The survivor’s mother is also a police constable, sources added.

DCP Vinayak Dhakne is further investigating the matter.
