Daylight theft in RBI Square; man relieved of Rs 50,000 booty

Nagpur News : In a daring day light robbery, two motorcyclists looted a middle-aged man near a petrol pump at RBI Square at around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. The theft material included a gold chain and Rs 20,000 cash. Sitabuldi police have booked the thieves and started investigations.

As per reports, Abdul Wasim Abdul Rauf (32), a resident of Bengali Punja, Lal Darwaja Road, Pachpaoli, went to the petrol pump at RBI Square on Sunday afternoon. Two youths unidentified youths broke the queue and tried to go in front of Abdul. He asked the youths to maintain the queue but the youths started using foul language. The youths then took out a knife and threatened Abdul and took away his gold chain worth s 30,000 and Rs 20,000 cash from his pocket. The youths conveniently left the place without being caught.

Sitabuldi registered an offence under Sections 394, 504 and 34 of the IPC read with sub section 135 of Motor Vehicle Act.
