Nagpur: Thanks to time and God that Vidarbha Dal Millers’ Association, Nagpur exhibited its humane gesture on Tuesday in front of District Collector, Nagpur with the commitment that the citizens of the district would be provided Tur-dal at the rate of Rs 130 per kg and Chana-dal at the rate of Rs 62 per kg. The steps taken by the Association are worth praising in the interest of masses.
Vidarbha Dal Millers’ Association President Ashok Goyal met Collector Sachin Kurve on Oct 27 and informed him that this sort of decision had been taken by the Association keeping the ongoing season of festivals including Diwali in view.
Accordingly, 10,000 quintals of Tur dal and equal amount of Chana-dal would be fluxed into market in retail price as stated above, and more quantity would be further supplied, if need be there. The citizens to their great relief will be able to buy the said dals on Thursday and onwards from the retail-market, informed Goyal.
The Dal Millers have also welcomed the steps taken by the government for importing dal (pulses) from Africa.
